Wow…what a day!
Our Bikeathon this year was fantastic but yet again the weather tried to knock us off our feet, quite literally!
A massive thank you to all the riders that entered and came along on the day.
We really wanted to plough ahead with a family day, lots of stalls, a bouncy castle but unfortunately had to disband the idea as the wind was making things dangerous. We did however manage to get our one and only big gazebo up, so refreshments were available!
It was fantastic to see a sea of green t-shirts at the start and watch everyone go off through the estate. I was crossing fingers that the change of the long route would be more acceptable this year and everyone that came back said both routes were great and the views were amazing, they got to see parts of Bristol that they didn’t know existed!

Yesterday was our Open Day, a chance for anyone to come down and have a chat to the Bristol Branch members.
We are inviting local residents to an Open Day on 16th September to learn more about the charity’s groundbreaking research into blood cancers, and help launch a new online mosaic appeal. The Open Day will be held at Broadmead Baptist Church, Bristol, where we will be available to provide patients and families touched by blood cancers with free information about leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
